The Scope
As an Events Lead, you will own the end-to-end strategy and execution of a complex portfolio of high profile events and experiences.
Your remit will include:
- Designing and delivering high-profile events and leadership experiences from concept through to flawless execution
- Owning and evolving the Events & Experience Strategy across flagship programs, industry-wide awards and stakeholder engagements (local and international)
- Setting and upholding governance, risk and delivery standards appropriate for high-scrutiny environments
- Acting as senior relationship lead for venues, production partners and key suppliers, holding them to clear performance expectations
- Managing budgets, contracts and commercial outcomes with rigour and accountability
- Leading and developing the Events function (one direct report), building systems, processes and best practice methods of working
- Anticipating and mitigating risk, ensuring seamless execution in complex and fast-moving contexts
- Partnering closely with senior internal stakeholders to ensure experiences align to strategic objectives
You are a senior events professional who has operated in complex, high profile corporate, government or educational environments where delivery excellence is expected. You can clearly demonstrate:
- Extensive experience delivering senior-level audience events within government, corporate, agency or institutional settings
- A strong track record managing VIP stakeholders, executives and sensitive reputational contexts
- Demonstrated ability to operate in high-trust, high-scrutiny environments
- Exceptional project leadership, able to manage ambiguity, competing priorities and time constraints
- Strong commercial acumen across budgeting, contracts and supplier negotiation
- Highly developed executive communication and stakeholder management capability
- The confidence to set standards and hold others to account
- A calm, solutions-oriented approach when challenges arise
- Experience leading small teams and influencing cross-functionally without relying on hierarchy
