The Company:
Our client is a leading Sydney based University who have gone through a huge period of change, pivoted their product offering and are trialling new and innovative ways of doing things. Based in the CBD, they offer flexible working, with most team members coming into the office just a couple of days a week. They operate with an internal creative, production and media team.
The Role:
Develop the annual Social Media Strategy for key markets and deliver the content plan and schedule for all major campaign activity.

Key focus areas for role include
1. Develop and execute the advertising plan constantly analysing and optimising for best performance
2. Develop and execute content plans and ensure regular social media listening is conducted
3. Manage social platforms and strategy for key international markets providing expertise, and feedback on best practise
4. Manage the Social Media agency in China
5. Manage and coach the Social Media Specialist
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Create, implement and manage the social media strategy, with a strong focus on Paid Social and Content plans for key markets
  • Community management, social listening and administration of social platforms
  • Content strategy creation, scheduling and posting
  • Analyse and optimise social campaigns for best performance
  • Provide insights and reporting to the team on campaign performance
  • Manage and support the Social Media Specialist to execute the campaign plan, and content plan
  • Manage the social media agency in China  
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Minimum of 6+ years social media marketing experience
  • Proven track record of managing social media advertising campaigns across multiple audiences, channels and markets
  • Experience in reporting and analysing social media performance and providing insights and recommendations
  • Experience in social marketing in international markets would be highly desirable
  • Experience working with social media monitoring and reporting tools such as Hootsuite
  • Strong creative and copywriting skills and a solid understanding of what makes great content
  • Strong collaboration and analytical skills
  • Positive ‘can-do” attitude
  • A degree in communications, marketing or business-related field
