Job Description
Iconic Australian financial brand is looking for a smart, intuitive and confident PR professional to lead the communications strategy across PR, content and social to acquire and retain customers and drive greater brand awareness and advocacy.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of effective PR campaigns to support brand awareness and consideration, customer acquisition, engagement and retention across all channels
- Manage external communications for the CEO and Executive team members including briefing on market issues and challenges for all media interviews
- Maintain and build influential relationships with key national, metro and industry media and key industry partners
- Create the strategy and development of creative and messaging for all customer communications and engagement programs, working closely with the Digital Marketing team to execute
- Identify trends, leverage data and commission innovative research to support the development of market leading PR, content, customer and social media campaigns and programs
- Effective management of PR, content, video production and social agencies, suppliers, freelancers and partners to a high level of quality and to budget
- Lead the continuous improvement of marketing communications strategies including working with industry experts, agencies
- Manage a team of three direct reports including line management, time and task prioritisation, personal development planning and coaching
- Ensure there is brand integrity and consistent branding and tone of voice across all communications
- Ensure content meets legal, statutory, internal audit and compliance
- Manage the Marketing Communications budget including regular forecasting and reporting
- Tertiary communications or marketing related qualifications
- 10+ years PR and marketing communications experience gained inhouse and/or agency side
- Detailed understanding of PR and communications disciplines and the Australian media landscape
- PR issues management and communication
- Understanding of digital channels and proven experience in content marketing including reporting and analysis
- Outstanding communications; written and verbal
- Relationship management – agencies, media and internal stakeholders
- Ability to design and deliver high quality and innovative strategic plans
- Strong stakeholder management skills and influencing ability
- Strong project management skills and practical experience juggling multiple priorities and working to tight deadlines and budgets
- Motivating and inspiring team leader and team player
- Process-driven, analytical, problem solver
- Bright, intuitive with the ability to work autonomously
- Finance industry experience preferred but not essential
