Print Production (Packaging) Manager | from 80k inc

If you’re a print production manager with an impeccable eye for detail and technical knowledge in the area of packaging then this could be the perfect role for you. This design agency works across a host of beverage, food, venue and wellness brands, creating beautiful design and packaging.
Projects may range from bespoke packaging creation such as custom glass manufacturing for spirit products, commercial label printing, carton manufacturing, specialty stationery, collateral and branded environments.

About you:
  • Minimum of 3 years working as a Production Manager in a relevant packaging agency or production house on FMCG and/or beverage packaging projects.
  • Solid understanding of finished art best practices and the ability to manage the finished art from concept approval, ensuring artwork files are set up correctly.
  • Adequate knowledge of packaging production processes and techniques along with an understanding of colour management and print tolerances across all print formats
  • Adequate knowledge of carton and label requirements
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Adequate knowledge of carton and label requirements
  • Ability to communicate clearly and accurately
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to build strong relationships with suppliers
  • The confidence to question and challenge briefs and creative solutions, where appropriate
  • Tech savvy and proficient in project management CRM systems.
  • Experienced, or desire to learn, Adobe Creative Suite applications (specifically Adobe Illustrator) to the standard that last minute basic amends can be made to finished art files.
About the role:
  • Liaise with suppliers on technical production, quoting and production solutions.
  • Briefing in finished artist and overseeing all stages of the finished art process including signing off artwork before handing over to supplier(s) for production.
  • Ensure correct translation of artwork adheres to supplier requirements and production intention.
  • Ensure suppliers are meeting timelines and schedules as communicated by Account Manager or client.
  • Provide Account Manager with quotes and sourcing requirements for production related items.
Salary negotiable depending on experience level.
4 days a week considered.
