Job Description
Iconic Australian household brand is looking for an agile, smart, solutions focussed PR professional to develop and implement a PR and communications strategy which secures positive media coverage and creative content to leverage across owned earned and paid media channels.
- Develop and execute national and local PR campaigns to support brand awareness and consideration, customer acquisition, engagement and retention across all channels.
- Act as a 2IC to the Senior Manager PR & Communication and assist in managing issues
- Manage the PR and Content agencies and ensure campaigns meet objectives, and are delivered on time and in budget
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key print, broadcast and online media and relevant industry partners.
- With support from a Social Media Manager, oversee the social channels and community management, assisting with social analytics and reporting, and identify opportunities for engagement and content creation
- Manage the marketing communications process from planning and ideation through to publishing across relevant owned earned and paid channels
- Work closely with the digital, brand, acquisition and LAM teams to identify ways to maximize earned exposure and ensure continuous improvement through accessing insights to drive campaigns.
- Identify opportunities and develop campaigns leveraging market, research and business performance data, plus human interest and customer stories.
- Provide advice and support to internal business units, franchisees and brokers on best practice for PR, content and social media campaigns and contents.
- Manage the media monitoring platform and vendor relationship, and use the tool to report and analyse PR campaign results
- Assist with budget reconciliation and forecasting
- Tertiary communications or marketing related qualifications
- 5 + years PR experience gained in-house and/or agency side
- Detailed understanding of PR disciplines and the Australian media landscape
- Understanding of digital channels and proven experience in developing content marketing strategies
- Comprehensive media contacts, particularly consumer media
- Experience working with and managing agency relationships
- Experience working with media and business data and producing insights
- Exceptional writing skills and ability to write in different formats and styles
- Strong project management skills and experience juggling multiple priorities and working to tight deadlines and budgets
- Adaptable, resiliant and a good problem solver
- Positive, can-do attitude and a sense of fun!
- Finance industry experience preferred but not essential
