This is a newly created role within an award-winning and growing global communications agency, reporting into an impressive Managing Director. Leading a team of 10 in Client Services, you’ll form part of the Leadership team of 4 including the MD, CD and Strategy Director.
The agency is rapidly growing and expanding here in Sydney, hence the need for a CSD. The agency delivers end to end strategy, brand, comms and PR all in-house.
Client portfolio ranges from tech, fin services and start-ups within the global scene.

You will be a strategic advisor to clients and a thought leader in the communications industry.
You’ll work with the Account Directors to develop strategic business plans for their portfolios across PR/media relations/brand strategy/marketing and support them in delivering on these plans. You’ll make resourcing decisions, and be actively involved in recruitment, making sure they’re bringing the right people into the business.
While taking ultimate responsibility for achieving targets across the PR/Communication client portfolio, you’ll also be empowered to contribute on a broader organisational level. You’ll get to participate in the annual Directors’ Forum, which helps shape global company strategy, as well as sitting on the local leadership team to drive the direction, culture and success of the agency in Australia.
In this role you’ll act as an enabler, knowing when to step forward to support your team and clients – and when to take a step back to allow your team to shine.
What you’ll need to be successful;
- Currently be operating at a Group Account Director or Client Service Director level within a PR and or Communications Agency
- Well-rounded Marketing Communications experience including strong PR
- B2B comms experience – ideally with the tech sector
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, high energy environment
- Be self-motivated, ambitious and have the ability to inspire that in others
- Successful record of driving new business and organic growth
